The State of Palliative Care Symposium

Strengthening our workforce

Do you want to have a say in what your workforce looks like in the future?

With demand for palliative care expected to increase by 135% nationally by 2060, significant reform being planned in aged care, and an ageing workforce in Tasmania, now is the time to take action.

The State of Palliative Care Symposium (Strengthening our Workforce) is a key professional development event, not to be missed and will include a variety of keynote speakers and interactive workshops.

The Hon Peter Gutwein, Premier of Tasmania will open the event  and the the program will connect you with national and Tasmania experts in the areas of:

  • Palliative care workforce research, data and insights
  • Aged care;
  • Unpaid palliative care support and carers and
  • Future focus – what is ahead  with the Tasmanian Healthcare Reform.

It will also launch the biennial State of Palliative Care Report, a report that will identify key workforce issues for priority action.

The morning session will be held both in person at C3 Convention Centre in Hobart, and will also be available online for state wide participants.
