Heather is a values-driven leader with extensive experience guiding for-purpose organisations, including the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP – Tasmanian Faculty), MS Society Tasmania and the Royal Hobart Hospital Research Foundation. Most recently, Heather served as CEO of Vinnies Tasmania before commencing her role with Palliative Care Tasmania in December 2025.

Working closely with the Board, Heather takes an innovative and considered approach to strategy development, while leading teams to deliver strong outcomes, sustainable growth and lasting impact. During her time at Vinnies Tasmania, she drew heavily on her advocacy experience, particularly in matters of social justice, to ensure the organisation maximised its reach and support for people experiencing vulnerability.

A defining feature of Heather’s leadership is her belief in the power of collaboration. Taking a whole-of-system view, she has consistently worked across sectors to unlock new opportunities and deliver meaningful social change.

Heather’s career is grounded in the values she holds most highly: dignity and compassion, respect, integrity and courage. She is motivated to bring this depth of experience, alongside her commitment to service, to build on the strong foundations of Palliative Care Tasmania and support a compassionate future for all Tasmanians.
