MEMBERSHIP UPDATE (September 2022)

PCT are currently transitioning to an annual  financial year Membership model.  This means that all  current and new Memberships will require renewal on July 1, 2023.  If you have any questions about this please contact Membership and Marketing officer Luke.DeJesus@pct.org.au

We welcome membership from anyone with an interest in palliative care. Whether you are a health professional, aged care provider, volunteer/carer, a policy influencer or simply part of a Tasmanian community of care, our member network supports and connects you to valuable information and resources.

Our Members area collective voice to our Tasmanian leaders and decision makers on important sector issues. As a member, you will also be eligible to vote on key issues and also nominate as a Director on our Board to help lead our organisation and influence the palliative care sector in Tasmania

Once your membership is approved by PCT, you will immediately begin to receive member benefits, discounts on events and education and regular communication from us.

All Member Benefits Include:

  • Invitation to PalliHub (free membership) and an online community of practice.

  • A monthly e-newsletter, which includes short up-to-date items on research, policies, conferences, employment opportunity, media coverage, information about our political engagement and relevant information.

  • Discounted registration to Palliative Care Tasmania workshops, seminars, conferences, and forums.

  • Advocacy and representation to Government on priorities and issues related to palliative care and end of life care.
  • The ability to contribute to state and national palliative care policies and strategies.
  • Certificate of palliative care membership.

Individual Memberships

Individual membership is to open to anyone with an interest in palliative care and who would like to support the sector including community members, volunteers, carers, students, politicians, policy makers and consumers.

Professional membership has been introduced to support the professional development of those working in palliative care across the sector.

This membership is for volunteers, carers, students, and those community members that support the work of the palliative care sector.

This membership is for health care professionals and those working across the community and health care sectors, delivering services or support. This is also suitable for those wanting to transition into areas of palliative care across the sector.

Organisational Memberships

Membership is available for any organisation that has an interest in palliative care. We have partnerships and relationships with organisations across the sector, including aged care, allied health, community services. We support, connect and facilitate collaboration.
Organisation membership entitles the nominated representative to one vote at meetings, and it entitles two people from the organisation to a member discount at conferences.

Service Providers & Non-for-profits organisations who want to support the palliative care sector
