PalliCare Fundamentals: Unit 2   End of Life Choices and Planning

  • Advance Care Planning and legalities
  • Tasmanian Advance Care Directive
  • Considerations for vulnerable populations

This unit forms part of the PalliCare Fundamentals certificate program, which consists of 6 units. Each unit can be purchased individually or as part of the course. Participants can attend individual sessions but can only receive the ‘PalliCare Fundamentals’ certificate if all 6 sessions are completed.

Palliative Care Tasmania’s ‘Compassionate Communities Speaker Series’ is a great mix of industry experts covering diverse topics including legal, guardianship, finance, mental health, grief and more. This is your chance to access information that informs, supports and inspires.

This is a 1 hour online facilitated session with Q&A suitable for health care professionals providing information to the public, Aged Care staff, carers, volunteers, HACC or CHSP providers, community groups and individuals.

Community Connection Event: Advance Care Planning

Free community online education sessions about end-of-life issues. Learn how to plan, what to consider, who is involved in care, how to stay well for longer, how to support others, advance care planning and how to have conversations around end of life wishes. Be informed and understand how to take more control over your life and end-of-life.

In March, as part of Advance Care Planning Week we are exploring Advance Care planning in Tasmania.

PalliTalk: Member community of practice meeting

PalliTalk is a new bi-monthly community of practice meeting for the Palliative Care sector in Tasmania.
In these online facilitated sessions bring together Members from diverse parts of our sector to share ideas, help to shape best practice, discuss solutions to difficult issues, meet new people and collaborate. Free but registration is required.

Our March meeting will focus on workforce development and communities of care.
