Our Patron

Palliative Care Tasmania is honoured to have Her Excellency the Honourable Barbara Baker AC, Governor of Tasmania, serve as our inaugural Patron.

Her Excellency’s Patronage reflects a shared commitment to strengthening palliative and end-of-life care for all Tasmanians. Through her support, the importance of compassionate, coordinated and equitable care for people living with life-limiting conditions is recognised at the highest level in our State.

We acknowledge with gratitude Her Excellency’s ongoing interest in the work of Palliative Care Tasmania and her support of the sector, its workforce and volunteers.

Her Patronage reinforces the significance of our mission and the collective responsibility to ensure dignity, comfort and choice at the end of life.
